Who we are
TellPod is run by [YOUR NAME OR COMPANY], [ADDRESS]. For anything about your data, write to hello@tellpod.app.
What we collect
- Account data: your name, email address and a hashed password (we never see your password).
- What you do on TellPod: topics you share, comments, votes, saved topics and, for podcasters, your podcast details.
- For podcasters: the podcast feed address you give us. To verify that a podcast is yours, we read that public feed once to look for a one-time code.
- Technical data your browser sends when you visit, such as IP address, which our hosting providers keep in server logs for security.
Why we use it
To run your account and the service you asked for (contract), to keep TellPod safe and prevent abuse (legitimate interest), and to send emails that are necessary for your account such as confirming your email or resetting your password.
Cookies and local storage
TellPod uses only what is strictly necessary: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and a small setting in your browser that remembers light or dark mode. We do not use advertising cookies. We measure visits and speed with Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which do not use cookies and do not follow you across other websites.
Who processes your data
We use Supabase to host the database and handle logins, and Vercel to host the website. IONOS sends the emails we need to send you (such as confirming your account). These providers process data on our behalf.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. Topics you shared stay on TellPod without your name; your profile, votes, saves, comments and podcast are deleted.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data. You can change your name or delete your account yourself in Profile → Settings, or write to hello@tellpod.app. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).
